About the Museum

FORT WORTH MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND HISTORY, 1 mile north of I-30 at 1501 Montgomery Steet in Fort Worth’s Cultural District, presents hands-on traveling exhibits and interactive permanent exhibits like the all-new Lone Star Dinosaurs, ExploraZone, KIDSPACE and DinoDig. The Omni Theater, an IMAX dome, uses an 80-foot domed screen and 72 speakers to present a wide variety of giant-screen adventures. The Noble Planetarium presents regular astronomical programs. Museum School offers classes for preschool and elementary school-aged children.

Museum hours are Mon. – Thurs. 9-5:30, Fri.-Sat. 9-8, and Sun. 11:30-5:30; closed Thanksgiving and Dec. 24-25. Omni Theater films and Planetarium shows are offered daily. Hours and programs vary; phone ahead or check the Web site for times.
